What to expect
Commitment
A typical coaching relationship with me begins with a commitment of at least six months. I don’t set an “end date” up front because our work is a journey, not a timeline. This flexible approach allows us to create a natural pace that encourages stillness, openness to new practices, and space for real exploration.
What I ask in return is your openness in exchange for my commitment: openness to share whole-heartedly, to make space in your life for our work, and to trust the coaching process as it unfolds.
Logistics
Sessions can take place remotely over Zoom or in person in the San Francisco Bay Area, lasting about 50 minutes each.
What Integral Coaching is, and is not.
Coaching vs. Therapy
Our coaching sessions are not therapy in the traditional sense. While we’ll honor and acknowledge the influences of your past, our focus is on the present and future, helping you explore what’s possible beyond your current capacities. Coaching can feel therapeutic as we discover new practices, perspectives, and pathways forward, but it is not designed to process childhood traumas or specific diagnoses. I’m happy to provide referrals if we find overlap in these areas.
Together, we’ll focus on seeing, accepting, and reshaping the patterns and perspectives that inform where you want to go, building a path that is both aligned and empowering.
Coaching vs. Consulting
Coaching is also distinct from consulting. I’m not here to tell you what you “should” be doing or to offer step-by-step solutions. Instead, my role is to help you tap into your own inner wisdom, to guide you toward what’s true for you. If you’re interested in mentorship or consulting based on my professional experience, please feel free to inquire about that type of engagement.
Equity
It is my wish and intention to make coaching accessible for as many folks as possible, and am conscious that session fees may be financially out of reach for some who may need coaching most.
I would like to trust that those of us with ample means will pay our share, (and perhaps even sponsor another with less means), and those with less will pay lower rates.
I’ve borrowed the sliding scale structure of the Anti Oppression Resource & Training Alliance and I welcome you to self-select your rates with no questions asked.
Please let me know if you’d like to discuss.
